i am in the middle of a lawsuit because i was hit from behind at a red light by a large truck at 50 to 60 mph.i had back fusion surgey due to this accident and my attorney wants me to sign a document that states for $50,000 which i guess is policy limits ,is all the money that i will receive and the case will be final. My problem is that medical bills are over $100,000 and this amount of money will not even scratch the surface of my bills not to mention i can not perform at work and this has affected my life in every way it possibly can in a negative way i have been in a operating room at least 6 times with shots and surgery and they want me to accept 1 third of $50,000 which i believe 16,000
so i guess my question is do i drop my attorney now and go forward to sue the individual and if i do how do i know if he even has any kind of assests to go after?
i have been demoted twice at work due to not being there at the time when they needed me due to either being in the hospital or being laid up after surgey.
please help me i do not know what to do.
thank you for listening
brian
